She began her art career at the age of 12 years. At the age of 27 years, she traveled around the country establishing her reputation and fulfilling many commissions. She is very well known nationally for breeding and showing champion collies, with her Halcaldee prefix, for over 35 years. This, and having lived a good portion of her life in "Dog and Horse Country" in Maryland, has influenced much of her works.

She has been commissioned to do Trophies for several major national dog and horse shows; as well as pieces of gold jewelry of many breeds. Commissions and works by Carol are in the offices and homes of many highly professional people in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
